_1024_GL_CubicCurve Quartz Composer Plugin

Posted in QC plugins, quartz composer, software with tags , , , , , , on March 24, 2010 by Francois Wunschel

Still on the boost this week, so here’s a QC plugin
that might be handy to draw GL Cubic Curves, with handles.
Interpolation step is hardcoded to 40.
10.5/ 10.6, although the included example is 10.6 only,
due to the new Interaction and Instructions patch, so useful for demos.

Download from the box.

_1024_GL_Circle Quartz Composer Plugin

Here’s a handy plug for rendering open gl circles.
It works nicely inside iterators.
I added over and addition blend modes.
10.5 / 10.6

Get it from the box.

_1024_ToneGenerator Quartz Composer Plugin

Still tinkering with QC plugins these days.
Here’s a go at an Audio Tone Generator.
Yes, audio. Still flaky and far from perfect,
but hey, it IS working !!!
It is very experimental, won’t nuke your system,
either on 10.5 or 10.6.

Download from the box.

_1024_WaveGenerator Quartz Composer Plugin

Posted in experimental, QC plugins, quartz composer, software with tags , , , , , , on March 16, 2010 by Francois Wunschel

I just finished from coding this little QC plugin,
that will simply generate a waveform structure of values,
for use with KnM GL Tools – Line Structure Patch.

This could be done entirely with a Javascript patch,
however a dedicated plugin performs far better at high iteration count.

Download the plugin in the box, at the very bottom right of this page.
Sample compositions are included.
You’ll need KnM GLTools and vade’s V002 blur pack
for the sample comp to load properly.

Particle Cloud Quartz Composer Plugin

Posted in experimental, QC plugins, quartz composer, software with tags , , , , , on March 6, 2010 by Francois Wunschel

Since i’ve been busy with this Quartz Composer plugin recently,
i thought i could share it with the community.

So here’s a tiny little thing that will generate an openGL particle cloud,
with a few, hopefully usefull, controls.
Mind the Fade_bySpeed option, that will just use the velocity of the particles
as a source for their opacity. The faster the particle, the brighter.

All the other options are pretty self explanatory.
Try hooking up a mouse patch in the XY coords port…
— download from the BOX, on the bottom right side of the page
— note that the plug should only work on 10.6 / 64bit
