Hi i’m new to all this and not all plugins seem to work for me..
    I’m using a 2.8 ghz intel core 2 duo 4GB 1067 mhz DDR3
    version 10.5.8
I started with the structure tools which works fine.
In the same folder I placed the box2d plugin and it didn’t work.
the city plugin also works fine in the same folder.
but the L-system doesn’t work. the Selecter is working fine.
the wanderlust works fine but there seems to be something wrong with the audio input. when i look up the audioinput in the patch creater it is there.
when i place the particles cloud in the same folder it says qcplugin patch:_1024……. is missing. also says something about v002 plugins which is right because i don’t have them.
    particle warfare doesn’t work.
And i probably didn’t really care if i haven’t played with them yet on my other mac…

please help i probably made a stupid mistake.

    • Francois Wunschel Says:

Box2d is 32 bit plugin only, so you’ll have to start your QC in 32bit mode.
Some plugins might have been compiled for 10.6+ only … (maybe L-system and particle cloud).

The other should work, although 10.5.8 is *very* old.

Thanx! i’ll trie to open quartz in 32bit.
Time to start saving for a new mac :-)

  12. Hi. I just bought a new mac with mountain lion.
And the patches I had using structure tools are not working (not even your examples).
Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Thanks, and congratulations for your great work

    • Francois Wunschel Says:

      mmm… I assume i’ll have to re-compile for 10.8,
but I don’t have it at hand.
You’ll have to wait a bit, sorry.

(are you sure you put them in the right folder ? I heard it changed the default location on ML)

      • Hi, thanks for your quick answer.
The plugins are in the same folder as usual.
I have been reading around, and I dont see any instruction about other location for the folders.

I have other plugins (like vade rut-etra, your metaballs, and others..) that are working correctly.

Thanks again. I will try to dig around, I will tell you if if I discover something.

      • Francois Wunschel Says:

hopefully I’ll get a 10.8 dev computer anytime during September, so I should address this

      • Hello, any news on updating particle warfare to mountain lion?

      • Francois Wunschel Says:

it doesn’t work on ML ?
        it should. I’ll check that

  13. mmmm, I am sorry for the mess. I think that after all the structure tools work. The problem is with the GL Tools.
They dont work, and make QC crash.

And your examples for the structureTools most of the times use the “GL structure POINTS/LINES/….”, so thats why they were not working.
    Thanks again

  14. I’m curious about about 10.8 support as well. Considering an update soon… but can’t live without Structure Tools!

  17. hei, i’m using vdmx5 and mad mapper, until now i use it in the old school whey, mixing videos.
now i’d try to use the city 1024 effect and few more and they don’t work for me… maybe i don’t have the Quartz Composer or something… its a bit difficult for me to read in English all the information… if somebody can help me in a basic languish how to make it work.
