Friday, time to combine one week’s work.
These GLSL snaps use:
– Environment Reflection
– Baked Ambiant Occlusion
– Phong Lighting
– Custom Wireframing
– Normal Mapping
– Radial Blur (in a separate pass)
– Geometry Morphing on the GPU
Playing and tinkering to make an electron looking GLSL shader.
Shaders are cool.
First tests of Quantum at the SAT, Montreal, CA
Quantum is an abstract cosmic experience.
Our friend Joanie Lemercier is here too.

Teaser for an upcoming performance, using our latest particles.
Tonight we had a little particle session at the office, along with the supercoder Novac and our guest, Yetkin Yilmaz , particle physicist at the CERN.
We ended up with this (in realtime and animated, as you would have guessed):
close-up (no feedback effect: the particles are attracted by each other, and at some point stabilize themselves to form long filaments):
Finally, after a long pause, I’m back to the particles business, with a new technology and some fresh ideas.
Since we were in Brazil, we took the opportunity to call our friends from VideoAtaq,
and they organized a performance night in Rio de Janeiro where we played “Crisis”, but this time in portuguese language…
It was an amazing moment, especially when the scaffolding structure (with all our equipment, gear, computers) collapsed at the end of the show. Luckily it looked as if it was done on purpose !
Thanks to Jodele,Dado, Isis and the others !!!
Kaboom !
